Soil & Earth Testing
The bearing capacity of the soil is critical to the durability of the structure. Our knowledgeable and experienced quality assurance team ensures a solid foundation. We conduct suitability tests as well as inspection and arbitration investigations on soils, soil improvement measures, and soil stabilization in accordance with the applicable current regulations.
For earthwork in road construction, the ZTV E-StB 17 is particularly relevant. In addition, the current TP BF-StB as well as the applicable Technical Delivery Conditions and standards are taken into account.

Layers Without a Binder
The frost resistance, bearing capacity, and degree of compaction of the unbound layers in the subgrade of roads, paths, and other traffic areas are critical to the durability of the structure.
We conduct suitability tests and perform inspection and arbitration tests on unbound layers in accordance with the applicable current Technical Delivery Specifications, Additional Technical Contract Conditions, and Technical Test Specifications of the FGSV.
For road construction, particular attention must be paid to the TL-SoB-StB, the ZTV SoB-StB, and the current sections of the TP-Gestein-StB and TP-BF-StB.

Layers with
Hydraulic Binders
Qualification tests, inspection tests, and arbitration tests on base courses with hydraulic binders in accordance with the applicable current regulations.
For road and highway construction, particular attention must be paid to ZTV-Beton-StB 26, TL-Beton-StB 26, and TP-B-StB (as of April 2026).
Field Tests:
- Compaction inspection
- Determination of notch depth
- Verification of notch effectiveness
- Inspection of proper profile alignment, layer thickness, and—where required—levelness
- Additional tests on the completed work in accordance with the
applicable sections of TP B-StB
Laboratory Tests:
- Moisture content

- Grain size distribution and other properties of the material mixtures, as required for the respective base course
- Determination of mechanical properties of test specimens in accordance with the applicable TP-B-StB
